The PS 125 Parent Association needs your help to provide educational and enrichment programs at PS 125. We know that every family has a unique situation and not everyone can give in the same way. The size or kind of donation does not matter, your contribution is what matters!

Please remember that parents and families can “give” in a variety of ways! Make something for the Spring Fair? Volunteer at the coffee cart? Ask local businesses for support? These are all valuable ways to participate in the PS 125 Annual Fund!

Our school has a wide range of needs. Here’s how your contribution can be used:

  • $10 Pays for a student to attend a field trip

  • $125 Annual Fund donation - classroom supplies for one student

  • $200 Outfits one book nook, parent-run mini-libraries that make books accessible to every student

  • $250 Pays for one school and community pride event to celebrate our scholars and their families ( nights and ice cream socials)

  • $2,500 Covers the full cost of childcare and food for monthly Parent Association meetings (10 per year) allowing all families to attend.

  • $3,000 Allows every PS 125 student to take one field trip to extend learning beyond the classroom

  • $5,000 Covers the Parent Association’s budgeted annual support for classroom supplies

  • $10,000 Funds a hydroponic farm to provide hands on, inquiry based learning

No gift is too small! $1, $5, $10 all supports our students and teachers at PS 125!

You can also drop off cash or checks payable to “PA of PS 125” in the PA lock box that's in the office on the second floor. We can also take credit cards at the Coffee Cart on Thursday mornings.

Want some support or ideas on how you can contribute to the Annual Fund? Reach out to the Fundraising Committee at and we can offer some suggestions for things like approaching local businesses in your neighborhood or your workplace or leveraging a talent like baking or crafting. January 22 - February 2 - $125 for PS 125 Pledge Drive!!

Dear PS 125 Families and Friends,

Firstly, thank you so much for being a part of our school community. Without you, we do not exist! This year has already been an exciting year and we have high hopes for the rest of the year as we continue to grow in the progressive vision set out for our school.

We all have one thing in common: we love our school and want it to be the best school in Harlem! As we continue to foster our commitment to developing global citizens, we are requesting support from all families in our school community. Our goal is 100% participation for the Spring 2018 PS 125 Pride Pledge Drive. In order to achieve our goal, we humbly ask each family to consider a donation of $125 per student, this can be lump sum donation or we’ve also set up a monthly give amount of $15.63 over the course of 8 months, through August 2018. We understand that to some in our community, this is a lot to ask, therefore, we encourage your family to give a gift that is meaningful to you and we greatly appreciate any and all contributions. We also understand that some have already given this year, and for that we thank you for getting a jump start on this pledge drive! For those who are unable to donate monetarily at this time, there will be more opportunities to get involved.

The generous support from our Ralph Bunche Families will support the following schoolwide programs:

  • Sponsor class field trips

  • Explore school wide special programs

  • Maintain the 1st and 2nd Floor Book Nooks

  • Sponsor the Fall Family Day to welcome families

  • Sponsor a Teacher’s Luncheon during Teacher Appreciation Week

  • Provide food and childcare at all monthly PA meetings.

Our RBS Pride Pledge Drive will take place January 22 - February 2. We encourage all families to consider making their tax-deductible gift during this time. If you need assistance, we will have volunteers at the entrance, available to help January 24th at drop off. Toy Drive Happening Now! (Through 12/22)

Tis the season to get rid of any unwanted toys!

Please donate any used or unused toys for our spring rummage sale! As you know all the money raised goes towards our school.

Please only donate items that are in good working condition and please no toy guns, stuffed animals, clothing, or furniture.

Drop off in the bin by the elevator on the first floor!

We are collecting until the winter break. (Dec 23) 

We'll be doing another donation drive in the Spring before the Spring Fest!

*SAVE THE DATE* January 8th, 2018 9am: Meeting with District 5 Superintendent Danika Rux!

As most of you know, the recent district 5 coffee chat with our superintendent was canceled. We had quite a few parents who were eager to attend to discuss the future of PS125 and the district’s plan for viable middle school options. The PA board then reached out to Danika to ask if we could schedule a meeting with her, just for PS125 families.  She was happy to accommodate.

If you are able, please make an effort to attend this important meeting. This is a very unique opportunity to have face to face time with our district’s leader. This is also a great opportunity for us to show her our positive, outspoken, and involved diverse family community.

Upcoming Pledge Drive!!

The fundraising team has some events coming up in the Spring, the first being our *$125 for PS125 PLEDGE DRIVE*!! It will run from January 22st through February 2nd.

We are looking for businesses that may be interested in donor matching - so if you own or work for a business that may be interested in supporting a local community school. Please email!
